The 2012 Winners of the Scott Christian Memorial Scholarship

The Scott Christian Memorial Soccer Foundation is proud to announce the 2012 winners of the Scott Christian Memorial Scholarship:

Sydney Scheben, Notre Dame Academy.

During Sydney’s high school career, she excelled in the classroom, being chosen as a four time Academic All-State selection, as well as on the soccer pitch. Sydney was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the 2011 Kentucky State soccer tournament and lead all of Northern Kentucky by scoring 24 goals in 2011. Sydney was also chosen as a member of the 1st team all-region team, Cincinnati Enquirer 1st team , and numerous tournament all-star selections. Sydney will attend Belmont University in the fall where she will be a member of the women’s soccer team.

Austin Juniet, Newport Central Catholic

Austin excelled in the classroom with a 4.28 grade point average as well as excelling on the soccer pitch. The Kentucky Enquirer Player of the Year, two time 1st team all-state, two time regional offensive player of the year, and two time 1st team all-region player played soccer internationally with the Stars N Stripes Soccer traveling team. Austin set the NCC records for most goals in a season, most goals in a career, most point in a career, and most assists in a season. Austin will attend Northern Kentucky University in the fall and be a member of the men’s soccer team.
