We are now accepting applications for the 2012 Scott Christian Memorial Scholarship.
APPLICATION CRITERIA
- The Scott Christian Memorial Scholarship is available to college bound high school senior soccer players (males and females) who have the intention of competing at the college level.
- Scholarships are available to students who attend high schools in the Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton, and Bracken counties of Northern Kentucky.
- All applicants must currently be either high school or club team players.
- All applicants must have an overall Grade Point Average of 2.7 or better on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
SELECTION CRITERIA
Scholarship applicants will be judged on academics, soccer ability, sportsmanship, ethics, enthusiasm, community involvement, and citizenship. There will be no consideration placed on race, color, creed, nationality, sex, or religious preference.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Please download the 2012 Scholarship Application and submit via one of the two methods below.
- U.S. Mail. Applications may be submitted in hard copy form and postmarked no later than midnight, Friday, March 30, 2012
- Completed applications should be sent to:

- E-mail. Applications may be submitted via e-mail to: scholarship@scottchristiansoccer.org
- Applications must be received no later than midnight Friday, March 30, 2012
- Applications should be submitted in either MS Word (.doc) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format.
- All letters of recommendation, transcripts, or accompanying documentation should also be scanned and submitted in Adobe Acrobat format.
- Applicants submitting their completed application by e-mail specifically acknowledge that the Foundation is not responsible for misdirected e-mails or incompatibility issues regarding the format of the applicant’s application. The Foundation will attempt to contact any applicant if there is an incompatibility issue regarding the applicant’s submission, but the application deadline will not be extended due to any such technology issue.
Finalists will be notified by Friday, April 27, 2012.
The Scott Christian Memorial Scholarship in a one-time grant of $2,000. Each grant is made payable to the recipient’s college of choice. There will be two (2) scholarships available, one for a female recipient and one for a male recipient. * Applicants may be subject to an interview process.
