Privacy Policy

We keep this simple: we don't use cookies, we don't track you across the web, and we never sell your information.

Last updated: July 17, 2026. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit scottchristiansoccer.org, apply for our scholarship, or make a donation.

The short version

  • We set no cookies on this website.
  • We use no advertising or social media trackers.
  • We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
  • We only collect personal information you choose to send us, such as a scholarship application or an email.

Website analytics

To understand how many people visit the site and which pages are useful, we use a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service (Cloudflare Web Analytics). It reports only aggregate, anonymous information such as page views, the general country a visit came from, referring website, and device type.

It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your device, does not build a profile of you, and cannot identify you personally or follow you to other websites. Because no cookies or personal data are involved, this site does not display a cookie-consent banner.

Scholarship applications

If you apply for a scholarship, you send us personal information directly, typically by email to scholarship@scottchristiansoccer.org or by U.S. mail. That may include your name, contact details, school, grades, athletic and community activities, and any supporting documents you include.

We use this information for one purpose only: to evaluate and administer the scholarship. It is seen only by the volunteer members of our Selection Committee and Board of Directors. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else, except where we are required to by law.

If you are selected as a recipient, we may recognize you publicly (for example, your name, school, and photo on our website or social media). We will ask for your permission (and a parent's or guardian's, if you are under 18) before doing so.

Applicants under 18

Our scholarship is for high school seniors, some of whom are minors. This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If a parent or guardian would like us to remove information about their child, please contact us and we will delete it.

Donations

Donations are processed by PayPal, not by this website. When you click our donate button you are taken to PayPal's secure system. We never see or store your credit card, debit card, or bank details. PayPal shares with us only what we need to acknowledge your gift and keep our records (such as your name, email, and the amount).

PayPal's handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policy, available at paypal.com.

Email and phone

If you email or call us, we keep your message and contact details so we can respond and maintain a record of our correspondence. We use them for nothing else.

Links to other sites

Our website links to other services, including Facebook and PayPal. Once you follow a link you are on their website, and their privacy policies apply, not ours.

How we protect information

We are a small, all-volunteer nonprofit. We limit access to applicant and donor information to the volunteers who need it, and we retain it only as long as we need it for our scholarship records and legal obligations. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care with what you entrust to us.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
