Each year the foundation awards up to $10,000 in college scholarships to Northern Kentucky high school seniors who play soccer and lead with character.

Who Can Apply
Eligibility requirements
To be considered for the Scott Christian Memorial Scholarship, an applicant must be:
- A college-bound high school senior planning to compete or pursue a soccer-related career at the collegiate level
- A male or female soccer player currently on a Northern Kentucky high school or club team
- A resident of Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton, or Bracken county
- Maintaining an overall grade point average of 2.7 or better on a 4.0 scale
How Winners Are Chosen
Selection criteria
The Selection Committee evaluates each candidate on the qualities Scott himself embodied:
Academics
Athletic ability
Sportsmanship
Ethics
Enthusiasm
Community service
Citizenship
Selection is made without regard to race, color, creed, nationality, sexual orientation, or religion.

How the application works
Applications for 2026 are closed. When the next cycle opens in 2027, the official application form will be posted here, and the process will work like this:

Complete the application form and gather your supporting documents. The current year's form is posted on this page once the application window opens.

Submit by email or U.S. mail
By email: send your completed form (MS Word or PDF) with all supporting documents in PDF format to scholarship@scottchristiansoccer.org.
By mail: Scott Christian Memorial Soccer Foundation, Inc., 1900 Farmhouse Way, Florence, KY 41042.

Watch for finalist notifications
Applications are typically due in late April, with finalists notified in May. Exact dates for the 2027 cycle will be announced with the application form.

The Award
Up to $10,000
The scholarship provides a one-time total grant of up to $10,000, distributed among one or more winners. Award amounts are determined by the Selection Committee and the Board of Directors based on the strength of the applicant pool.
